The Blue Water Line travels from Michigan’s east to west coast, stopping at 10 amazing Michigan cities with its last stop in Chicago. Each city is awaiting your arrival with attractions and events; from art fairs, museums, cultural centers and festivals to boat races, shopping, theme parks and golf courses. Amtrak Blue Water Service will take you there and back in style and comfort.

Michigan…..Coast to Coast
In Port Huron visit the nautical attractions, water front restaurants and boat and trolley tours along St. Clair River and Lake Huron. In Lapeer, see Michigan’s oldest courthouse and in Flint, learn about the city’s dramatic history as the birthplace of General Motors and be sure to visit the year-round Farmers’ Market, one of the states’ largest. In Durand, you’ll find the exciting Michigan Railroad History Museum.

Lansing is where you will discover Michigan’s State Capital and Michigan State University, see what fun can be had taking the train to catch a Big 10 sporting event! Battle Creek offers a perfect choice for outdoor activities including the Binder Park Zoo, where an African adventure awaits you. Make a stop in Kalamazoo and find a vibrant Art Deco downtown that sets the stage for quality dining, unique shops, galleries and entertainment.

Dowagiac is bountiful in cultural and recreational attractions as you can enjoy live theatre at its best. Niles offers three award-winning wineries and is known as “The City of Four Flags” as four nations have controlled the area in its history. Your last stop in Michigan is New Buffalo. Rider Information

  • Reservations are required to ride the Blue Water.
  • Sandwiches, snacks, and beverages are available for purchase on the train.
  • Passengers may carry up to two pieces of hand baggage on board the train. There is no checked baggage service.
  • Please, no smoking on the Blue Water.
  • Guests 18 years and older should carry a driver’s license, passport or other photo identification.
